After staying three nights at Bangkok, we flew to Phuket then drove amout 90 minutes or more to Khao Lak, we stopped at Tesco for buying some wine but they didn't sell wine before 5:00pm according to the local law.
The lobby was huge, JW Marriott Khao Lak was a famiy style resort, there was no club lounge in this resort.
Hotel staff were busy because it was Easter holiday, but they still welcomed us with cold drinks and towels very soon.
This was our room, #2012, the stand below the room number was umbrlla stand, smart and nice idea:)
The internal design was not really Thai style, more liked Chinese style.
I liked they had evening trundown service, so we could have clean towels and bathroom after dinner, nice service.
I liked they made these towels look like flowers, so far it was the only one I have seen in Thailand hotels.
I liked they put some small accessories next to the bathtub to make you feel more relaxed in your vacation.
Our room was on the first floor, with pool access(but no stairs to the pool).
We liked this resort a lot because you can swim to pool bar, main pool, lobby, just from your room.
Sometimes we just stayed at our balcony with books, or went for advendure by our blue swimming air beds
btw, they offered room guests a beach bag, so we didn't need to bring their own bags to the beach, one more nice accessory.
