之前就耳聞國賓川菜廳的烤鴨不錯,所以九月份老杯的生日,大家在寒舍艾美的buffet跟國賓川菜廳選了後者

辣妹沒去過寒舍艾美,可是考量到buffet不一定好拍照,有些還不給拍ㄌㄟ,所以我對於選烤鴨就沒多大意見了

國賓的川菜廳在12樓,不是很大,當天幾乎是客滿的,想見生意是很不錯的

I have known Roasted peiping duck in Szechuan Court is good for a long time, but I didn’t have any chance to visit this restaurant till September.

Another choice was buffet at Latest Recipe of Le Meridien Taipei, I never been to Le Meridien Taipei, but considering sometimes it is not that easy to take photos at a buffet style restaurant, so I didn’t say no when my family told me the final choice was Szechuan Court of Ambassador Hotel Taipei.

Szechuan Court is on the 12th floor of Ambassador Hotel Taipei, it is not a very big restaurant compared with other Chinese style restaurant s in Taipei, but I like their decoration style, it is Chinese emperor style

這裡有包廂,但也有半包廂式的座位,辣妹覺得還不賴,包廂可能有不低的低消,半包廂式的應該就沒低消,但也顧及隱私,還有軟軟的沙發坐,只是進出不是太方便

They have box for people who needs privacy, but I guess they request for minimum charge, this kind of seat I think it’s better, semi-opened seat with side windows, more privacy than usual seat, but no minimum charge

諾,中國宮廷風,大部分金色,但又不至於俗氣,辣妹還蠻喜歡的

See, its Chinese emperor decoration, most color it golden, I like it, not too glitzy, just right.

服務生會把很多小菜放在托盤上沿桌詢問妳需不需要,我這種高中下課去吃碗陽春麵就知道一點一堆小菜的辣妹,怎麼可能不先來一點小菜開胃咧,所以就簡單的選了三盤,由上到下是涼拌鳳爪,酸豆,涼拌海菜

They have many kinds of appetizers, waiters put all of them on a tray, then showed them around tables, you can choose any one you like.

 I chose chicken feet salad, caper, seaweed salad, all of them were good !

蒜泥白肉 Sliced pork with garlic sauce $320

還好他們有配上一點小黃瓜,不然光看這一大盤蒜泥白肉是有點噁心,哈哈

Thank God, they put some cucumbers as garnish, too much fatty meat was not good!

今天的重頭戲,北平烤鴨,要先電話預約喔

我們選了兩吃,要價2000,一個配麵皮,一個煮湯,但是我發現,她們的湯沒有配粉絲,,酸菜又太淡,湯是本日敗筆

片鴨師傅會先把鴨端上桌讓你瞧瞧,然後在桌旁直接處理,一份份上桌

You need to make reservation of your peiping roasted duck. We chose to have it in two ways, one with pancake, one with soup, but I didn’t like the way of their soup, too bad.

Usually the chef shows you the whole duck first, then, they slice it into pieces with both skin and meat for each next to your table.

第一吃辣妹通常是不吃包蔥的,只要求小黃瓜

The first way is served with special pancakes, cucumbers, green onions and sweet sauce.

You will see the second way later.

細皮嫩肉 Egg fuyung and tofu $340

這道還不錯,很下飯,吃川菜就是要下飯咩

Nice tofu with good sauce, I like it.

五更腸旺 Stewed prok's intestine and duck blood with hot chili sauce $450

這是我吃川菜必點的,不吃五更腸旺那叫吃川菜是不是,不過他們的不會太辣,辣妹覺得再辣一點點會更好吃

Well, I know most westerners don’t eat animals’ internal organs and blood, but most delicious Chinese cuisines have them, maybe try it next time?

生菜蝦鬆 Minced shrimp with lettuce

這道也是我的最愛,彈牙的蝦仁配上青翠的生菜,真的好讚呀,他們的生菜沒有奇怪的藥水味,有些餐廳的生菜不知道為什麼吃起來就是有怪怪的臭藥水味道

This is one of my favorite dish, good quality of shrimp and fresh lettuce, love it!

美國回來的表弟很堅持要吃炒青菜,因為他在舊金山都沒吃到道地的大火炒青菜

My cousin insisted on he wanted to have stir fry vegetable, because he never had satisfied one when he studied in San Francisco, the poor guy, he must have missed home so much !

雞窩的京醬肉絲我很喜歡,想說國賓是大飯店,應該也不失水準

但是我錯了啊,肉絲有點過水,用蔥油餅包起來的時候就弄得溼答答的,醬汁應該要稠一點,才不會弄的滴滴答答的

I like this dish of another small restaurant a lot, so I thought this is a famous restaurant, so they must have high quality of this dish too, but I was wrong, too much sauce made the pancake wet, I didn’t like it, they should make the sauce thicker.

水煮魚 Poached fish served with hot sauce $520

聽說這四川菜裡也是很招牌的一道,辣妹從來沒吃過,不過,我自己不是很喜歡啦,魚還是要用蒸的好,煮成辣的湯就可惜了

This one is a very traditional Szechuan dish too, but, hmmm, I have to say, I didn’t like it.

For me, the best way to cook fish is steaming, then you know how good the fish itself is, it was a waste to cook fish with spicy sauce.

我一直以為,兩吃的鴨,如果我選擇煮湯,那就會有粉絲跟酸菜,沒想到,國賓的沒有粉絲!!

我看到服務生端上來,我當場心都涼了,這不是我心中的鴨骨湯,這不是我心中的鴨骨湯,大哭…..

我馬上翻臉問服務生,粉絲呢,他們說,哦,我們這裡不放粉絲的…辣妹繼續大哭…..這是人家第一次吃鴨骨湯沒吃到粉絲的

I expected the second cooking way of the duck is glass noodle soup with pickled cabbage. But……they didn’t put glass noodle, and the taste of pickled cabbage was too light, for me, it was a really bad soup, I didn’t like it at all !!

豆沙鍋餅 Sweet bean paste pancake $300

吃飯要小菜,飯後當然也要甜點,就來個豆沙鍋餅吧,不過他們的餅皮還蠻酥脆的,我頗喜歡

Yes, of course, for a food addict, she needs desserts of course, so I ordered this and Almond and milk junket.

This pancake is very crunchy, and not too sweet, good

原本我點的是杏仁豆腐,但是看到別桌有人有油條,我一整個馬上變心,熱杏仁茶跟油條是我的心頭好啊

不過這裡的甜點我自己覺得很貴,一碗要150,光甜點大家就吃掉1500了

I ordered this for all of us, I love Almond Jelly, but after I saw a guy at other table ordered Almond and milk junket, I changd my mind, I love Almond and milk junket more, especially it is served with Chinese doughnuts, so only me had the different one.

They charge NTD150 per person for dessert, it’s too expensive I thought, NTD100-120 is more reasonable.
